Keepin' it Piscean - A Quick Trip to Mexico

Five Pisces themed outfits for a quick work trip to Mexico.

Five Pisces themed outfits for a quick work trip to Mexico.

A couple weeks ago I took off to Mexico to work as a Wardrobe Assistant for EDC Mexico for three days and of course, the days on either end of the trip allocated to travel, making it five days worth of Pisces looks to create! The job of Wardrobe Assistant is physically demanding and the hours are long so I knew these outfits had to be practical and comfortable over everything BUT…y’all know I can’t compromise style ;) SO, here are the five looks I put together (highlighting Pisces’ main color association of Seafoam Green - check my last blog post for more details on the color palette for Pisces Season and what each color means) for two days of travel and three days of work!

What my suitcase looked like before I zipped it up and headed to the airport! So many Piscean treasures <3

This one changes to yellow! And the day I was working it was HOT so it was yellow pretty much all day, which astrologically worked out because it was a Sunday and Sunday’s are ruled by the Sun! And naturally yellow is one of the Sun’s color associations!)

Leggings: Wolven Threads’ Onyx Legging

Shoes: Ugg’s Fluff Yeah Slides (I was so tired on Day 3 of the festival, I knew this outfit had to be the m most comfortable)

Day 5: Traveling from Mexico City back home to LA

Additional Info/Tips/Etc…

  • The Away backpack and suitcase have completely changed my travel game. Each piece is incredibly well thought out and is compartmentalized to keep everything organized at all times for easy access and ultimate efficiency. The strap on the back of the backpack that slides over the handle totally saves my back on long travel days and makes everything in my backpack even more accessible than it already is. They also include lifetime warranties which definitely justifies the cost! The zipper on my backpack broke after a trip where I completely stuffed it full and I took it to the store and they replaced it immediately! A wonderful company that I’m happy to support!

  • If you can’t tell already, Wolven Threads is one of my absolute favorite brands. I literally wore something of theirs every single day of this trip (and honestly also in the rest of my day-to-day life too, no shame in my repeat game!). The pockets in their leggings are the literal perfect size for your phone AND your passport, which makes them excellent travel clothes. The combination of those, with the Away bags is just…oh so sleek, and oh so functional. It’s incredibly satisfying :)

  • I ALWAYS wear my Labradorite ring when I travel and had it made especially for that reason! Labradorite is the stone of destiny so it helps you align with things that are meant for you and that’s always helpful during travels! I got that stone in India in 2013 and finally decided to have my friend make it into a ring last year <3

  • I chose to wear gold accessories the whole weekend because when I think Mexico, I think heat, and when I think heat, I think Gold ;)

  • Shameless self promo moment - I offer Zodiac themed clothing bundles called the Fashion Alchemy Bundles! A lot of the thrifted goods I show off in these blogs will be available on my Depop and are also examples of the types of things I’m capable of finding for the bundles ;) I also offer Travel Styling where I style your day-to-day looks for a trip! I alsoooo offer Style Consultations where I help you develop your personal style to better accommodate it to evolve WITH you, as you yourself mature. I offer all of these services + more! Everything can be found under “Services”, above!

All in all, it was a wonderful time working passionate, ambitious and committed people at an amazing event in a beautiful country with an enriching culture and subsequently charming people. I unfortunately didn’t get to see much of the city itself but from what I did see, it was truly stunning and I definitely plan on going back! Shoutout to Insomniac and my friend Ms. Easy for the opportunity <3

P.S. All of these photos were taken after I came back from the trip because I was so busy working that I wasn’t able to get good photos at the event. Howeverrrrrrr, here are the few photos I did take <3
