Scorpio Season Glamour Guide

This season is all about the taboo and letting your shadow side be your muse. Lean into the provocative and let your freak flag fly babes!

Hey there freaky Scorpio season! Ruled by Pluto in modern astrology and Mars in traditional astrology, Scorpio energy is cunning, calculating, sensual, intimidating, intuitive, self-reliant, transformational and intense.

As a sign that rules over the 8th house of death, sex, intimacy and the taboo, they definitely get a bad rap but that’s only because this water sign is capable of extreme emotional depth, the likes of which are rarely experienced by the rest of us mere mortals. They also don’t shy away from shadow work, in fact, the shadow is their realm and they relish in it which also gives them extraordinary capacity for emotional endurance. But this capacity is a major contributing factor as to why Scorpios are so misunderstood and have a bit of an edge to them that gives them the dark senses of humor they are known for and makes them avid participants in the ‘all black everything’ culture. Such a connection also fosters a natural confidence in their sexuality so believe me when I say that if any sign is going to make you want to flaunt your sexy side…it’s definitely provocative Scorpio. Plus, this zodiac sign also ushers us into the literal shadows as we welcome the dark half of the year with daylights savings coming in hot on November 6th.

In the tarot, the sign of Scorpio corresponds to the Death card which at first usually elicits a fearful reaction, but it shouldn’t. As the sign of transformation and rebirth, Scorpio knows that those cycles can’t happen without the death of the old. In other words, death is a Divine requirement. And of course it’s no coincidence that within Scorpio season the holidays of Halloween, Samhain, Dia de los Muertos, etc., take place but notice that these holidays are anything but somber. They are celebrations of these sacred cycles and the integral role it plays in our ability to value and cherish.
