Haaaay Leo season! As the only sign that is ruled by the Sun, Leo energy is all about basking in the spotlight of your own radiance! There is a distinct difference between being cocky and being confident and Leo season is allllll about confidence! It makes me think of Maddy Perez when she says, “90% of life is confidence, and the thing about confidence is that no one knows if it’s real or not.” So sometimes you have to “fake it til you make it” for the purpose of familiarity! So let’s try confidence on for size, babes!

Ruled by the Sun which is the center of our solar system, Leo is magnetic, generous, proud, regal, charismatic and is a natural-born icon! With the woman on the card seemingly man-handling a lion, at first glance it may seem that this card is about external strength when really, it is about internal strength and resilience. This card reminds me of when we were training our dog to be off leash. If we acted nervous and anxious, Gem (my dog) wouldn’t listen to our commands because she would pick up on our unease and distrust (not going to lie, this is still the case for me because she’s my baby and I WORRY OK? Sue me lol!). But my partner got there and established that trust and now she can be off leash with him and actually responds to his commands despite the high she gets from being off leash, lol. But that level of confidence comes from a deep sense of trust and nothing takes more strength than developing and maintaining real trust. Just like the trust that is shown by the woman literally having her hands in the mouth of a lion!
